


I am being asked for a PUK number, what does that mean?
PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. If you have entered your PIN code incorrectly 3 times your sim
card will be blocked and you will be unable to make and receive calls/texts.
If you are with O2 you can obtain your PUK code from their website, follow http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/getPUK/welcome
In most cases you'll need to phone contact Rubyhall or your network provider Customer Services
for your PUK code to unlock the SIM.

Below is a list of the SMS Service Centre (SMSC) numbers for the main UK operators. The SMSC is stored on
your phone or SIM, and is used to forward your outgoing text messages to the network operator. If your phone
suddenly loses the ability to send a text message - it could be a problem with the SMSC number stored in your phone.
Check your mobile phones "Message Settings" or "Message Options" entries, and look for "Message Centre" or
"SMS Centre number". If you're having problems, try the phone's instruction book, or look for information online
(such as the Nokia and Sony Ericsson websites). If in doubt, contact Rubyhall or your mobile phone network provider for help.
How do I find the IMEI serial number of my handset?
The quickest way to find your handsets IMEI serial number is to dial *#06# and have the 15 digit number
displayed on screen. Alternatively, the IMEI serial number is usually located on a manufacturer sticker
beneath the battery on the inner casing at the rear of the handset.
